It was great to see works by Dudley Edwards, whose psychedelic murals appeared everywhere in the 60's from the boutiques of Kings Road and Carnaby Street to Paul McCartney's 'magic' piano.
The after party lead us to Disco, the new venue from nightlife entrepreneurs Charlie Gilkes and Duncan Stirling who own Bunga Bunga, Maggie's and Mr Fogg's.
We were greeted by Pan Am air stewardesses who handed out boarding passes (From: London, UK. To: Disco, Manhattan), checked in our luggage using an automated conveyor belt, and showed us through the aeroplane doors. Lots of fun for a mid-week jaunt.
The Carnaby Echoes exhibition is running until the 20th October and is a must see for music lovers of all generations.
